No sale

Tried to buy a pistol at Cabela's, they took my name and number and said they would call me the following week. That was 4 weeks ago as of 8/23/22. Still haven't heard back from them yet. Nice store but like anyone else, no body does what they say they will do. Bought my pistol off gunbroker instead

Staff was very helpful. Bought a new shotgun and was helped by Robert and Jeff. Make sure you have them do an assembly inspection before purchase.

Gift card adventure 7/12/22

My adventure began on 7/12/22, 13:38 check out time, store 0441, transaction 112731. I had three Cabela's gift cards to use. My wife and I looked at clothes, guns and ammunition and signed up to win something with no obligation until it turned into a buy a trip thing, so we moved on to buy a boat battery. I had a core (used batt) to turn in. The battery salesman stated that they would take care of that discount when I checked out with my purchases. I gave the check-out person my three cards wishing to use both smaller amounts and then take the remaining amount off of the larger amounted card. The clerk or till operator complained that they should not have sent me to him with the core battery as that goes to the service desk. He stated he was confused and having a bad day and didn't expect it to get any better. He left the station to check the battery after receiving the form from another person then ran my cards. The first two went well but he stated my larger amount card was no good. Now 'I' was confused and asked for the manager. The manager came over and ran the card with the same results. I asked for any transactions that had been made on the card so I could see how, when, where, I'd been hacked, etc. as I had checked the cards amount on-line and it showed the full amount available. We moved to the service counter were the manager said the card I was using was actually used earlier that day and he himself had processed it. Now I felt I was being accused of taking a used card and attempting to get more from it. I stated my wife had possession of all three cards up until I went through check-out so if the cards got switched it had to have been there. I remembered seeing a pile of gift cards to the right of the cash machine during that time. The manager went over to that station and retrieved a bunch of cards and asked which was ours? He finally ran each one until he did indeed find my original gift card with the funds available. I still had the kiosk card that the gift card came in with the amount written on it. Another sales lady was nice and ran the transaction/purchases and wrote the remaining amount on the card. No apology from the manager on this whole episode. He simply stated he knew what to do now...?
They definitely could use some workplace organization (continuous improvement training) as I stated before the cards were lying loosely next to the cash register instead of having a 'used' and 'in process' marker, box or something to keep them separate until each customer is done.
Unfortunately, my adventure continues as I just checked my card balance on their website and its states it will not accept my card numbers, try again? go figure.

I was in cabelas today and had the pleasure of being waited on by C Gardenhour. He was very helpful in explaining my rewards program and his customer service was exceptional bar none! Because of people like Mr.Gardenhour I will continue to buy at cabelas deleware. ron d.

Don't waste your time.

Was outstanding before bass pro took over. Getting tired of overpriced items made in China. Horrible customer service. My business is going elsewhere.

Sons boots the eyelets fell off first time wearing them.

incompetent

On 8/4/22 I ordered 5 boxes of Aguila Super Colibri Rimfire Ammo. I would have ordered more but Cabelas web site stated a limit of 5. I also ordered Hoppes BoreSnake Den Bore Cleaner so that I would get the free shipping. And hours later I was sent an E-mail that they cancelled my Ammo because it was out of stock. I went to their website to cancel the Hoppes BoreSnake Den Bore Cleaner and they told me that it already shipped and I could not cancel the order. I received a message later telling me that my Hoppes BoreSnake Den Bore Cleaner had shipped. I have not received the BoreSnake as of today and I went back to Cabelas and I checked the order and it stated that the Hoppes BoreSnake Den Bore Cleaner just shipped and would not arrive until 4/15/22. Extremely Frustrating Experience

Extremely frustrating experience. Placed 5 items in cart- all showed available when selected. tried to check out- told I could no one item not available-so I edited cart removed item and had to start checkout all over, Same problem happened twice more so I gave up and cancelled entire planned order. who wants to come back????

Love the clothes, customer service could do better

I had purchased 2 pairs of jeans online because there is not a retail store near me. One pair of jeans were too short on me since my legs are very long. I ordered a size 2 regular because they didn't have a "long" size in hopes they would fit but they did not. Before I mailed the item out for return, I called customer service to let them know that I did not have access to the card I purchased them on since I had to cancel the card. The operator I spoke to said that they made a not on my order number to have the refund be placed on a gift card. I received an email a day or 2 after mailing out the item that the refund was processed to my card that had been compromised. So I called again. The operator I spoke to this time said that he saw the note but that apparently "payment processing didn't see the note". So he made another note on my order. When I called payment processing the next day I was displeased with the attitude from her. She emailed me later saying that now J have to get in touch with my mastercard company to get the refund switched to my new card. She said it could take 2-10 days for the refund to "appear" on my account so now I have to deal with that. It's like they purposefully don't do their job and make the consumer clean up their mess. Again, I love the clothes but the customer service sucks.

Cancelled my order for no reason

After taking 2+ weeks to ship my order, they shipped it and then cancelled and refunded me for no reason. I spoke to multiple people and none of them knew why the order was cancelled, they also could not place another order from me. How in the world is this place in business? Theres something fishy going on here for sure

Manufacturers test fire. Perhaps they let this one slip through the cleaning process after testing it.
